Stone Fencing

Stone fencing, also known as stone walls or dry stone walls, is a traditional and durable method of creating boundaries or enclosures using natural stones without the use of mortar or cement. Stone fencing has been used for centuries and is still employed today for various purposes, including agricultural, landscaping, and aesthetic reasons.

Types

Stacked Stone Wall: This is the most common type of stone fencing, where stones are stacked one on top of the other in a uniform or random pattern to create a solid barrier.
Gabion Wall: Gabion walls are constructed by placing large stones within wire mesh baskets. The baskets are then stacked on top of each other to form a sturdy and decorative wall.
Retaining Wall: Stone retaining walls are designed to hold back soil on sloped terrains. They prevent erosion and create level spaces for gardening or landscaping.
Garden Wall: Garden walls are low stone fences used to enclose and define garden spaces. They add character and aesthetics to outdoor areas.
Boundary Wall: Stone boundary walls mark property lines and provide privacy and security to residential and commercial properties.
Rock Fence: Rock fences are made using larger and irregularly shaped rocks, often found naturally on the property. They have a more rugged and random appearance.
Dry Stone Culvert: These are stone walls built across a watercourse or drainage channel to manage water flow.
